Let's face it... pie is delicious. But it's not super healthy (obviously). I like to make my food as healthy as I can, even if it is pie. I mean, a girl's gotta eat some pie sometimes, right? I created this little recipe (it's so easy) and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. My favorite pie in the whole world is Pomegranate Pie. I always use this crust when I make it. Beware though, even though this is a healthier version, it is by no means low calorie. Ya can't win 'em all.
For one pie crust, you will need:
about 12 Graham Crackers
2 tbs of Coconut Oil melted (just stick it in the microwave)
Stevia (sweeten to taste)
How easy is that?
Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor. I have one of those big fancy blenders and it blends it super fine and it's awesome.
Then place the dough in a pie pan and spread it with a rubber spatula (or your hands). This is what it looks like before you bake it.
Finally, bake it in the oven at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. You are going to love how amazing it smells. Then just add your favorite pie filling!
