DIY Gold-Dipped Vase

I am really feeling the gold home decor trend! But if you're like me, you don't want to spend a bunch of cash of a trend. What to do? How about take something you already have and add a little gold to it? It makes it so special. This inexpensive vase was just the perfect thing to add a bit of gold to, and it was super easy. You like easy, right? I hope you love it as much as I do!

Here is how it looks in my living room (you can see how it looked before). I like it so much better with the addition of the gold, don't you? It gives me that little extra sparkle and adds the prefect amount of interest.

All you need is a bottle of Liquid Leaf and a flat, wide paint brush. Start painting at the top first and give yourself a little room for error. You can always add more but you can't take it off. A great way to get an even line is to fill the vase with water, set it on a flat surface, and follow the waterline.

Apply generously, letting it dry in between coats. Apply two coats, maybe three.

Then just let it dry completely, add water and pretty flowers.

Lastly, find a pretty spot for your new vase and enjoy your trendy decor that cost you just a couple dollars.
