I am seriously in love with my new moss monogram wreath! I love how the "B" really stands out, even from the street. You can find the How to Make a Simple Moss Wreath Tutorial by clicking on the link. This project was pretty simple and inexpensive... and just too cute! Don't you just love Spring?
I started off with a letter "B" which I found at Hobby Lobby for a couple dollars. I used spray adhesive and gold metal leaf.
It's really hard to get full coverage with the leaf so I made my life way easier by going over it with Liquid Leaf.
So, just start by applying your leaf. I sprayed a section on the letter with adhesive and just laid the leaf over.
This can be a little messy and you have to be careful to get adhesive on your hands and then touch the leaf because you will end up pulling it right off.
After I applied the leaf, I went over it with Liquid Leaf. That way I got full coverage but I still get the look of real leafing. I guess you could just paint your letter with Liquid Leaf if you're in a hurry :).
I attached a pretty blue ribbon to the letter using my heavy-duty staple gun.
Then I attached the ribbon to the back of the wreath, also with the stable gun.
I was going for a very simple, clean look. But you could certainly add a bow if you wanted.
Oh, isn't the gold letter against the lush green just swoon-worthy?
Like I mentioned, it totally "pops," even from the street!
