Here's what I want you to do (besides nod and smile) read this post, then go visit my friend Kristen and enter the giveaway! You like free stuff right?
I read somewhere once that children feel loved when they see photographs of themselves hanging on the walls. (Read my post: Five Ways to Make your Kids Feel Loved). Makes sense right? Right. But here's my deal. I am crazy-picky about what I hang on my walls. But I still feel really strongly about displaying photographs of my children. So I do it here and there in frames around my home, but I want to make a BIG statement. I want to tell my kids that I think they are super cool. I want them to feel like our family is super cool when they look at our gallery wall.
So I got some fun, colorful photographs printed and mounted on art board. You know, it's that foam core poster board you can get at the craft store, or even the dollar store. Some of the photos are printed on metallic paper and professionally mounted (you can have this done by a professional printer) and some of them are just printed at places like Costco and mounted by me. The first option is kinda expensive but it does look pretty cool.
All you need to mount your photos is some spray adhesive and a razor blade. Simply spray the back of the photo you want to mount, stick it to your board, and cut around it.
I used those nifty 3M easily removable velcro tabs to hang the photos.
Of course, I created this arrangement on the floor before I put it on the wall. I mounted the super-cool, vintage letter first and then arranged the photos around it. It was easy because I used the 3M hangers and so I could move the photos around a little. AND when I want to switch out the photos it will be super easy. You know I totally dig easy!
Inspired? I hope so!
