Fall is in the air, but is it in your home? I am not super into seasonal decorating. I like my house how I like it. Don't get me wrong, I love to add and change, but not really based on the season or upcoming holiday. Am I the only one? I don't know about you, but I don't have time to revamp my decor every 4 months. Christmas about does me in as it is.
That said, I do like a little touch of the season in my home. Here are a few things I have done to welcome Fall...
The first thing, which I am totally digging is this little slice of tree that I use as a tray. I picked it up for a couple bucks at Hobby Lobby. It's one of those awesomely tacky wood plaques that is supposed to have some sort of carving of a duck on it. Something like THIS.
Don't you like it so much better with a pretty milk glass display? Ya, me too.
I just stuck some faux flowers in the vases and called it a day. Tip: odd numbered items work best in displays like this.
Flowers! Yes please. Seriously, how easy is it to grab a bouquet of Fall-hued flowers at the grocery store and put them on a table? Easy!
I love to place vases of flowers on a stack of pretty books.
What's more "Fallish" than burlap and pumpkins? Nothing, that's what. I simply placed a small pumpkin in a display I already had on my dining table and lay a piece of burlap down. It was kinda wrinkly so I sprayed it with my homemade wrinkle releaser.
Lastly, and most easily, display a bowl or two of seasonal fruit. The colors are just so pretty and it will make your home feel... well, homey.
I hope you add some cozy, colorful touches to your home decor!
